Xperia Lounge is a Sony owned app pre-loaded onto all Xperia devices, providing consumers with unique access a world of Sony entertainment as well as product news and device feature information. I was the UX/UI designer on a small team tasked with running usability experiments, looking at key hypotheses to improve the user experience within the app, to reduce churn and drive app engagement.

Without changing the overall structure of the app, I created a prototype for remote user testing, with a refreshed UI inline with updated brand guidelines and current design principles. Creating a more visually engaging and intuitive experience with clearer content categorisation and interaction patterns to further exploration, the app had positive feedback from the users that the internal Xperia Lounge team looked to explore further into production.
